Wellness & Arts Center
Since 1986, Iona has welcomed older adults with memory loss and physical and cognitive disabilities to our award-winning Wellness & Arts Center, located on the first floor of the Isabella Breckinridge Center at Iona Tenleytown. While participants enjoy fun, stimulating, and personalized activities during the day, caregivers get peace of mind and much-needed respite time to run errands and take care of themselves.

Inclement weather policy
The Wellness & Arts Center follows DC Public Schools closures and weather delays. When DC Public Schools have a delayed opening, the Wellness & Arts Center will start at a delayed time.
The best way to understand our adult day health program is to see one of our centers! Meet our skilled and compassionate staff, enjoy enriching activities, and see firsthand the difference that spending the day with Iona makes in the lives of our participants. Virtual tours are also available upon request.
Before coming to the Wellness & Arts Center, my uncle was isolated and would spend so much time thinking about his illness and what’s wrong in his life. Iona exposes him to exercise, drawing, and socializing. He sees more positivity in his life.
