Dance for Parkinson’s

May 11 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Dance for Parkinson’s, led by Anthony Hyatt and Robert Sacheli
Thursdays, 2 – 3 PM
Session One: Mar. 16 – Apr. 27
Session Two: May 11 – Jun. 29

Combines live violin accompaniment and easy-to-do movement drawn from a wide range of dance styles, all of which are adaptable to varying levels of physical ability. As participants enjoy dancing together they are able to focus on stretching, balance, and enhanced freedom of movement. Previous dance experience is not required. No fee for family members or care partners. Students may begin at any time.

All students (including returning students) must fill out a registration form. Download it here, or you can pick one up at the front desk. Note: It is Iona’s policy for six or more people to be enrolled in each class for the entire session by the start of the third class of the session. In the event a class does not have at least six or more people enrolled for the entire session, the class will be canceled and a credit will be issued to the current students enrolled.

The cost per class on a drop-in rate is $13 per class. A discounted per-class rate of $10 will be offered only to those who sign up – and pay for – the entire session.

If you have any questions, please contact Darryl Simpson at (202) 895-0238, or stop by the front desk.
