Session Three: Caring for Someone with Dementia without Sacrificing Your Career

This workshop is free. It takes place at Iona Senior Services.

Many family members supporting a relative still lead professional lives and work. This leads to challenges: they struggle with keeping their loved one safe and occupied, while continuing to meet work-related obligations. Participants will hear ideas about how to maximize quality of life for everyone.

About the Presenter

Dr. Joana Rosario has had an unusually extensive personal caregiving experience with multiple loved ones with dementia, which is ongoing today. This rich personal experience is allied to her professional experience as a neurologist specialized in dementia. Today, she makes it her mission to share her knowledge, especially to help caregivers who are struggling to optimize the care of their loved ones without sacrificing their careers.
