Adult Day Health, Wellness & Arts Center
Iona’s Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Adult Day Health, Wellness and Arts Center is a state-of-the-art program, providing companionship, safety and independence through a full range of engaging and enriching activities.
We welcome individuals with physical and social needs. Our person-centered, individualized programs are geared to helping persons with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia and memory loss, diabetes, arthritis, Parkinson’s and many other chronic conditions. Full-time nursing support ensures timely, appropriate health monitoring, assessment and intervention. The days at Iona are infused with art therapy, music, physical activity and brain boosting programs. Museum outings and garden tours are regularly scheduled. Physical therapy, massage therapy and personal care are available. Our Art Therapist offers opportunities for creative expression through daily group and individual sessions.
Caregiver education and support are integral components of our program. Regular communication with our nursing and social service staff ensure you are kept informed of your loved one’s successes and challenges. Educational programs, support groups and one-on-one consultations are available.
Iona’s Adult Day Health Wellness and Arts Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. A hot lunch and snacks are served and a variety of transportation options are available.
Since 1986, the Center has provided a place where older adults are valued, respected, and supported. Please drop in to see what makes us unique. For more information or to schedule a tour, please call 202-895-9448 or click here.

"Iona has been such a blessing for both my husband who has Alzheimer’s and for me. From my first visit in 1997 of the Day Health Center to the present day, I continue to be impressed with the professional expertise of each staff member and the gentle loving, compassionate care they give each patient."
